Check into your hotel. Take a sunset walk to Piazza Navona and the Pantheon. Dinner in Trastevere for authentic Roman Pasta alla Gricia.

Visit the Colosseum, Roman Forum, and Palatine Hill.
Day 3The Vatican
Explore the Vatican Museums and St. Peter’s Basilica. In the afternoon, walk through the Prati district for high-end shopping and fewer crowds.
Day 4Rome’s Hidden Gems
Visit the Borghese Gallery (requires reservation) or the Appian Way for a bike ride among ancient tombs.
